What Is a
Hollywood Carbon Peel?

The Hollywood Laser Peel, also known as the Spectra Peel or Carbon Peel, is a non-invasive laser treatment designed to improve skin tone, texture, and overall appearance. It is a popular cosmetic procedure that is often sought after by individuals looking to achieve smoother, clearer, and more radiant skin.

  • Carbon laser facial can absorb fat and waste deep in the pores of the skin; hence the skin is cleansed by removing the carbon particles using a laser.  

  • Carbon targeting by laser removes dead skin cells and blackheads from the surface of the skin and successful exfoliation is performed.

  • Treatment of open skin pores

  •  Treating acne; The heat generated by laser carbon facial destroys acne-causing bacteria and causes sebaceous glands to be less active.

How Does it work?

During the Hollywood Laser Peel procedure, a specialized carbon mask is applied to the skin. This carbon solution penetrates deep into the pores, where it absorbs excess oil, dirt, and impurities from the skin's surface. Once the carbon solution is applied, a laser is used to heat and target the carbon particles. This process causes the carbon to gently vaporize, exfoliating the outermost layer of the skin and stimulating collagen production in the deeper layers.

Before and After care

Before Carbon Laser Peeling

You do not need special preparation for carbon laser facial,

but it helps to consider the following:

  • Do not use aspirin or blood thinning supplements 2 weeks before carbon laser peeling.

  • Do not use any skincare products that contain retinol for 2 weeks before carbon peeling.

  • You may need to temporarily stop acne medication before treatment.

  • Do not smoke for at least 2 weeks before treatment.

Carbon Laser Facial Aftercare

  • Avoid exposure to sunlight for 24 to 48 hours (about 2 days).

  • If you must go out during the day, make sure to use sunscreen properly

  •  and wear a hat.

  • Do not use chemical peels such as glycolic acid or lactic acid.

  • Avoid using topical anti-pimple and acne medications.

  • Wash your face twice a day with a mild cleanser. Do not use face scrubs.

  • Use the right moisturizer based on your skin type.

  • Avoid using products containing Retin-A, tretinoin, and hydroquinone.
